Why does my DVD remote turn on the alarm clock radio?

Whenever I press the play button on my dvd remote, my alarm clock radio starts to play. What can I do to fix this?

What is happening is your DVD player and stereo use the same remote protocol, device address, and some key codes, so the one remote controls the other. You need to change one device for one that uses different codes, or tape over/disable the remote receiver in the stereo, if it is not needed.
