if i have a swisschamp that is brand new oiled up and all but put it into storage will it be alright?

i will be going into the marines soon. i have other knives/multi-tools i currently use and like this one so i decided to put it into storage. will it be fine? will it rust or anything like that? also how long do you think it will take for the ink in the ball point pen to dry out that is a part of the knife?
