if you’re now getting into weight lifting and you’re ready to do it the proper way

8-15 lbs

lets start:

Creatine: after loading creatine for a week and maintaining creatine leveles you’ll gain 3-5 lbs of weight

Diet: With a proper diet and weight lifting schedule
you can gain 2lbs a week. which gives ~8….

1.If you’re naturally a skinny person, just watch the junk and dirty meats ie. red meats.
or you’ll put on fat

2.if you’re one of the blessed types that are lean and respond well to weight gain, watch fats…actually avoid processed fats and red meat fats, processed sugars and whole milk.

3.If you got a naturally big body type, easy to gain hard to lose. do the same as the blessed types, but don’t eat too much that is, find out how much calories you need and stick to a straight 50% carbs 30% protein and 20% fats diet for each meal

For all types:

remember eat 4-6 meals a day, 1-2 fruits, and at least 3-4 servings of vegetables…
then, protein eat 1- 1.5 grams of protein per lb you weight……

do some cardio 2-3 times a week if you’re #2 or #3
if you’re number one you don’t have to do cardio or you can do it 1-2 times a week.

if you’re #3 monitor your body fat % very carefully and change your diet to suit….if you notice you’re gaining too much fat, cut down the amount of calories you take….lower the amount of fats you consume and carbs

for all types:

remember, you want to eat complex carbs, simple sugars (none processed sugars) and avoid trans and saturated fats.

those things are the ones that get you fat

that 2lb bottle of protein can make you gain alot of weight, it all depends on your type and how you diet + exercise…..

Hey Bro,
Some of your weight gain will be determined by your body type and metabolism. What else are you doing? Are you lifting or running, eating potato chips. I take about 30-40 grms of protein a day. Good luck.
I saw a video clip on weight gain, check it out. I make it all the time now, tastes great.

My answer to your question would be for you keep a food diary. You can consume lots of protein but if you are increasing the fat and carbohydrates that go with it then you will be putting on the wrong type of weight.

Depending on your metabolism will depend on how many carbs you can have a day.

I would aim to maintain the same weight initially but replacing the fat you have with muscle. Once you are down below 15% body fat you can control your weight better without increasing the fat.

I hope this helps.
