Anyone working at Smith Barney or is a financial planner, can you please help me?

By Sydney

Here is the deal. Out of a prospective pool of 15 applicants, I was one of the two selected for a second stage interview for an internship position at Smith Barney. The second stage interview is more of a “get to know you” type interview, and was wondering what type of subject matter I should be familiar with as to perpetuate a thought provoking and intellectual conversation.

They want to get to know you.
How will that happen if someone tells you what to talk about?
Be yourself. If they don’t like you, they’re doing both you and themselves a favor by not hiring you.

I worked for Smith Barney from 1992-2006. You need to follow their lead, but be familiar with the company’s current events to show that you are really interested in the company.

I also recommend checking out http://www.learntosucceed.biz. They can make the difference, sound career advice and they will answer your specific questions.
Good Luck.
